Mo is an investor with more than 15 years’ experience in private equity and family office investing and as an operating board member. After 8 years at Kasamar Holdings, Mo is currently an independent investor looking to invest in a successful platform that is scalable across emerging markets. Mo was a Principal and Director at Kasamar Holdings, a single-family office which he helped establish in 2016, bringing together the existing holdings of a UHNWI family into a unified institutional structure. He optimized the asset allocation and personally led the private equity vertical, where he completed several well-regarded and profitable transactions in the region, across a range of sectoral specializations. He previously spent six years at Gulf Capital, one of the MENA region’s most prominent alternative investment firms, where he worked across both origination and execution of mid-market investments. Throughout his career, he held several board seats as an operating partner and/or NED and with a comprehensive understanding of how to identify business opportunities, source financing, find synergies, control costs, and extract maximum value from a corporate balance sheet. He currently sits on Duke University’s School of Business regional advisory board.
