Abi Subramanian is a seasoned businessman with nearly 30 years of proven leadership at the cutting edge of technology, finance, and innovation.
Abi is the Founding CEO of HRDN, a pioneering cybersecurity company focused on uncomputable security beyond decryption for High Risk Data Networking in cyber, geo, and space. HRDN is part of a broader play on backing avante-garde hardware, software, and material sciences based solutions in building the computational platforms of the future. Prior thereto, Abi was Partner and co-GP of Black Pine, a Hong Kong based single family office of one of the oldest Cantonese families in the region. He was also Managing Partner of Hudson Fairfax Group, a technology fund backed by a prominent UK Family, and Founding CFO of Next Generation Satellite Systems, a vertically integrated satellite laser communications network.
Earlier in his career, Abi was a merchant banker focused on the private capital space, investing and advising entrepreneurs in the technology, life sciences, consumer, and industrial verticals. He spent 15 years at leading financial services companies including Societe Generale (SG Cowen), Jefferies, and Thomas Weisel Partners as head of their Private Capital/Alternative Capital groups.
Outside of work, Abi is a devoted family man. He is a father of two girls and counts world travel, modern art, and current events as some of his preferred leisure time pursuits.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology.
