This event will take place at The Guild, DIFC on October 17 from 8.30-10am.
Mark Hiley (Founder & CEO) and Matt Littlewood (Head of Sales) will be discussing their research process and how their mission to identify the stocks that could potentially double or halve creates material value for their investor clients; both in terms of long outperformance and capital preservation. With complete independence and domain expertise in forensic accounting, fieldwork, and governance analysis; they frequently do the work that others either can’t or won’t – resulting in highly differentiated conclusions – two of which will be presented and discussed at the event.
Mark Hiley graduated in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University and started at Fidelity International in 2001. In 2004, he then joined Trafelet & Company UK LLP (now renamed Habrok Capital Management LLP) for the launch of Delta Fund Europe. He worked as a member in the investment team for five years, during which time the Fund returned a Net Performance of +43% against the MSCI World Index -15%. In 2009, Mark began investing full time in his best stock ideas. He founded The Analyst in 2010 with the vision of building a market-leading, and independent, research platform, providing strong equity ideas for like-minded investors; the business has subsequently grown into one of the most differentiated and respected independent advisory firms in Europe.
Matt Littlewood graduated in Economics & Law from the University of London and started at Merrill Lynch in 2002; initially as an analyst; then moving into specialist sales. He was subsequently a top-ranked Consumer specialist for most of the next 20 years; at Merrill Lynch until 2011 and Barclays until 2021; alongside positions as Head of Research and Head of EMEA Industry Specialists. In these roles Matt has spent as much time advising corporates as investors, and outside of them has become an experienced NED and Commercial Director. He joined The Analyst as Head of Sales in 2022.
